Many fashion designers will choose to put on a fashion show so that they can showcase their new lines or clothing ranges. A selection of beautiful models will parade along a specially constructed catwalk so that guests and potential buyers get a good vantage point to see the clothes in their best light. Several times a year, designers may decide to hold a fashion show, normally Spring/Summer and Autumn/Winter.
The designer will have a new line of clothes or fashion statement they want to profile to the public and create a show to highlight their range. The clothing can be as simple as a range of knitwear including ladies cardigans, men’s jumpers an Aran Sweater or knitted skirts and dresses. Designers such as Calvin Klein and CoCo Chanel are known for their range of elegant dresses to casual jeans and smart shirts. The opposite of that is the elaborate, exotic and fabulous range of clothing that shows off a designers’ artistic skills. Vivienne Westwood and John Galliano being just two names synonymous with the more outrageous designs.
The subtle lighting beautifully illuminates the clothing range, artistic special effects and clever music choice makes the fashion show an exciting and breath-taking event. The New York Fashion Week and the Paris Fashion Week are probably the two most influential weeks in the World of fashion. The other weeks of Global importance include London, Milan and Berlin
