There are two main solutions which can be used to make a valve corrosion resistant. The first of these solutions involves making the valve internally resistant. This means that the valve would be sealed tightly and hence water or gas pressure would not be able to leak from the valve. Another solution is to make use of sealing strips around the valve. Sealing strips are used mainly for gas valves and electrical fittings because these are materials that are normally not subjected to corrosion.
