If 2026 is the year that you are planning to give your kitchen a new look, then it is a good idea to be aware of the current trends to help you design a modern kitchen that suits your tastes and style – whether you want to create a whole new kitchen or you are mainly just looking for aesthetic changes, here are the style ideas that are popular in 2026…
Green tones are still very popular this year – colours that are inspired by nature are all proving popular, as we bid farewell to the cooler grey tones and welcome in the warm and natural toned neutrals as well as the bright forest greens as well as the warmer olive greens too. If you want to introduce a new colour to your kitchen, then custom kitchen doors like this https://www.happy-doors.co.uk/shop/products/kitchens are a great way to do so.
Two contrasting tones can make for an eye-catching kitchen, and using deep rich tones in contrast with lighter ones can make a kitchen striking and interesting.
If you are looking to replace worktops, the natural materials are also a popular choice. Natural stone materials are ever popular, with quartz and marble always being in high demand, as they are not only beautiful but also durable.
Smart features and appliances are another thing that you might find a great addition to a modern kitchen – if you are planning to upgrade your appliances for example you may find that modern smart appliances not only make life easier but also help to save energy.
